This is not really a "sea story" but it is of enough historical significance to be included here - WebMaster

The flight was made 6 January 1964 in LN-5, BuNo 135489, from Bermuda to Weeksville,
North Carolina. This was also the last seaplane flight for any squadron in the Atlantic Fleet. The flight took 4.1 hours in good weather, with only a bit of rime ice as the aircraft approached
the coast — and the boots took care of the ice.
